Two-person studio launches the Christmas present for the Dad who has every home-bar accessory except his own website

Ystrad, WALES - Two-person Welsh studio Important Small Things has launched Orders Up, a £14.99 Christmas present that turns a Dad's home bar, BBQ or pizza oven into a working pub: his own name over the door, his menu at his own web address, and the family ordering from their phones while he pours.

The idea began at a party. Co-founder Arron Burch built the first version so guests at a friend's party could order drinks from the garden instead of queueing at the kitchen. "By last orders, half the party had asked where they could get one," said Arron. "So we made it a present."

Buyers name the pub, pick its look - from a traditional boozer to a neon cocktail lounge, a wood-fired pizzeria, a smokehouse or a tiki bar - and hand Dad the keys on Christmas morning. Guests need no app: they scan a code and the menu opens in their browser. Every pub comes with a printable pack - personalised table tents, posters and QR codes - so there is something real to wrap. Dad scans his own present to open his pub.

Finally a present that keeps every Dad happy - he say's he wants nothing and secretly wants a pub.

"You know the app the big pub chains have, where you order from your table? Dad's shed has one now," said co-founder Kev Moss. "Fire up the BBQ and everyone orders from their phones - an extra sausage for Nan, double cheese for Mum, three lemonades with straws for the kids - and it all lands on Dad's phone. He's the landlord. It starts as a joke. By Boxing Day he's laminating the menu."

Orders Up costs £14.99 for a full year, delivers instantly - it can be bought as late as Christmas morning - and only ever renews if the recipient chooses.
